What is a Damage Record? How to Query?
Lets face it, when we all buy a new vehicle, we complete the purchase by examining many
features of the vehicle. So, what do we pay attention to when buying a used vehicle? Of
course, we check first if the vehicle runs smoothly, if it has not been involved in too many
accidents, the original integrity of the vehicle is not damaged. So how can we question all
these situations?
Yeah. By questioning the Tramer (Damage) Record that came in 2003.
WHAT IS TRAMER RECORD AND HOW IS IT INQUIRED?
The TRAMER record is the platform where we can learn the damage records that came to
the traffic information center. If your vehicle is reported to the traffic insurance when an
accident occurs, it is included in this registration system, while those who do not report
when an accident occurs are not included in the system.
Other information that we can reach with the tram registration inquiry;
• Total insurance time
• Whether the plate has changed or not
• How long does the last owner has used it
• The defect rate specified in the report kept after the accident.
There are 3 different query methods, let's start with the first one
1. Damage Record Inquiry via SMS
If you want to query the damage record via SMS, you can do this in 2 ways. According to the
license plate or chassis number of the vehicle. It is more advantageous to query according to
the chassis number because it displays all the damages in case of plate change. If you are
going to make inquiries based on the license plate, send it to “Plate 5664 without leaving any
spaces in return for a service fee of 11 TL, which is valid for all operators.
"E.g; Your plate is 54 TE 405, you can write “54TE405” and send a message to 5664. In order
to query with the chassis number, you can send a message to 5664 with the form "DAMAGE
space S CHASSIS NO".

platform. If we have an e-devlet password, T.C. We log in to the system with our ID number
and password. Then, by clicking on the e-services section on the main page, we enter the
Social Security and Insurance Section. After clicking on the Traffic Policy and Damage Inquiry
link, which is the service of the Insurance Information and Surveillance Center, on the next
page, you can inquire about the damage record by entering your license plate.

What Should Be Considered While Buying a Vehicle with a Damage Record?
A person who wants to buy the damaged vehicle should make a damage inquiry again. It
should be careful that the changed part of the vehicle is not too much (we can also question
the changed parts in the ways we mentioned above) and should be careful not to spoil the
originality. Otherwise, the vehicle cannot get any efficiency.
Difference Between Scarp Vehicle and Damaged Vehicle?
Scarp vehicle is called when the vehicle becomes unusable due to certain situations. In the
damage record, we actually see the history of the vehicle, the accidents it had, the changed
parts, the date of entry to traffic, etc. A vehicle must be 70% damaged in order to be a scarp
one. If the scarp vehicle has insurance, the insurance company covers the material damage.
There is a condition to cover this loss, it is to be notified to the insurance companies within
the first 5 days of the scarp registration. Expertise services of insurance companies conduct
inspections on the reported vehicles. If the repair of the vehicle exceeds the original price of
the vehicle, the insurance companies pay the value of the vehicle and cover the damage. In
cases where it does not exceed, it provides the necessary support for repair. The point to
remember is that your car has general insurance or private insurance.
The documents you need to report within 5 days are as follows;
• Traffic accident report
• Copy of vehicle license
• Photos showing the damage
• Report to show alcohol use or not
• Copy of driver's license and paid premium receipts.
